On Monday morning, Pie taken will find a number of round plastic drums, all the block's shade of orange, in the common area. Each one has a Taken's name labeled on it and, inside, they will see a plethora of round jello balls floating in what looks like water. Obviously, this looks like bobbing for apples and that's probably what you will have to do, though no instructions come with the basins. If the Taken decide to bob for the jello balls, they will find that the 'clear liquid is not, in fact, water but something similar to the non-liquid that is found in pensieves. When submerged beneath the non-matter, the Taken will not be faced with a memory, however, but a fear. It may not be their biggest fear, but a variety of fears one might find in their nightmares—someone chasing them through a dark parking lot, falling from a cliff, etc. Each time they bob, they will see a new fear but they must bob if they want the jello balls. And, as they will find out, the jello balls contain a range of coin values that, in the end, will be totaled up and dispersed to the Taken who earned them. After lunch, they will finally receive instructions that don't explain how the bobbing works but will give them an alternative to earning coins. For those who've faced a number of fears, these instructions may come as a reprieve. The instructions will state that the Taken can forgo further bobbing (and therefore facing any further fears) and earn an automatic 150 coins if they do the following: leave a note in their journals, warded to miss pie, electing for one of their fellow Pie Taken to experience their worst nightmare during sleep tonight. That's it. Just one bad nightmare for one person, for one night and you will have 150 coins. If you've already bobbed for jello balls, the 150 coins will be added to the total you earned while bobbing. The instructions assure anonymity should the Taken choose to do this. If more than one person choose a particular Taken to do this, that Taken will have nightmares consecutively. i.e. John and Jane both elected for Bob to have a nightmare so that they could earn their coins, Bob will have his nightmare two nights in a row. Please comment below with what your Taken did and I will respond with what they earned! Please include what fears they face and how many jello balls they acquired before stopping for the day. subjects All Pie Taken! when / duration. All day Monday, July 23. |
