Spider-Man 2
Who: Seamus and Justin
What: Uhm. Honestly, who even knows?
Where: Justin's flat
When: Saturday morning
Rating: SFW?

Seamus had barely slept. He'd tried, but his mind had seemed determined to go over the details of the upcoming charity raffle again and again. He wasn't even doing all that much work for it, that was mostly in the hands of the Fawley Foundation, but whenever he tried to think of anything else he felt sick to his stomach and ended up just letting his mind go back to lists of those being raffled off and the dates to be donated and anything else that would keep him from wondering what, exactly, Dean had told Ophelia. It wasn't as if Dean had never dated before. He had, and Seamus had always been... well, he'd always been a little jealous. He could admit that, it made sense for him to be jealous when his best mate started spending a lot of time with someone else. And since they'd basically never both been dating at the same time, maybe he was jealous of that too. This time felt different, and Seamus didn't know why. He'd never met Ophelia but he already hated her. It was irrational, and he'd never tell Dean that, but it was true.

When he finally did sleep, his dreams were dark and disorientating. He was running, always running. Through Hogwarts, through Greencastle, through endless dark forests that looked like something out of Dean's nightmares. He kept running but never seemed to find anything. He woke up breathing hard and damp with sweat. It was only nine in the morning but he forced himself up and out of bed to shower.

Only half an hour later, he apparated into Justin's flat. "Justin? I'm early." If Justin was still in bed, Seamus would just have to get him up. He still felt a little bleary, like he'd have a headache later, but today was not a cuddling in bed day.

Seamus managed a small smile. "As if I'd let you starve." He wasn't a great cook, but he could manage enough to keep himself and his friends fed - when he had time, which wasn't all that often, really.

"Worried is the wrong word," he quickly corrected. "I just - there's this raffle tonight and I got busy setting it all up, and then there was Q-Topia and Romeo wanted a projector for the movie and we couldn't use magic to set up like we usually do." Seamus was happy to host, but it had all been a bit last minute. And now there was Dean, which Seamus had absolutely no intention of mentioning. "No rest for the wicked, that's all." He smiled again, and let his shoulder bump against Justin's gently. "Sorry if I'm not much company today. I didn't sleep well."

Justin nodded. "Yup, the raffle. I'm being auctioned off and I have no idea what I got myself into." he said, shaking his head.

"But, hey, you don't need to apologize, okay?" He told Seamus seriously as he faced his friend. "Just remember that I'm your friend and I'm here for you if you need anything." He said softly. Seamus didn't need to be good company to Justin, but if Seamus needed company at all, he'd be there.

"Do you need something for the sleep though? Is it the first night lately?" Justin concern was genuine, as he himself didn't sleep well. But being in the medical field, he wanted to make sure that if there was something to do, that it could be done.

"I know you are," Seamus said, the details of the raffle having been running through his head most of the night he was definitely aware of who was being raffled, though he didn't yet know what the dates were going to be. "I think it'll be fun. And I'll buy tickets for you, though I can't guarantee I'll win." He smiled again, feeling a little better even if he hadn't addressed the real problem.

He faced Justin, reaching a hand forward to his hip and pulling him close so Seamus could rest his forehead against his shoulder. "Thanks." There was nothing Justin could really do about any of these problems, but the fact that he was there and willing to try to help made Seamus feel a little better.

"Yeah, it was just last night." Seamus didn't mention that he'd predicted the bad dreams, that it had been why he hadn't wanted to come over the night before.

"I know you can't guarantee anything. But thanks for bidding at all." He told his friend with a smile.

The fact that Seamus reached out to him physically meant a lot to him. He was starting to relax and maybe he'd even consider letting Justin help. When Seamus rested his head on his shoulder, Justin reached out and put his hand on his friend's arm, caressing it in a soothing gesture. "You know you can come to me when that happens, right?" He wasn't so busy that he couldn't help a friend in need. "Or I'll come to you, either way." His other hand moved to Seamus hair and he stroke it gently.

Seamus felt himself relax a little, leaning in to Justin's touch. It was purely platonic, but that was what he needed right now. He breathed in slowly, trying to push away the vague and swirling feeling that something was still not right. He had friends, he had a great job, he had a great family. Everything was fine. He was just stressed, that was all. Maybe his body was finally allowing him to feel some of the stress from recent weeks, now that the crisis had passed.

"I know," he said, shaking his head. He'd never been really comfortable going to anyone when he couldn't sleep, or when he had nightmares. Some of his friends knew, from the Room of Requirement, but he should be over it by now, surely? They weren't even nightmares about something bad he'd had to witness. They were just worries that were no longer relevant, and he didn't know how to get them to stop bothering him. He hummed a little as Justin stroked his hair. "Thanks, though, for reminding me."

Justin wrapped his arms around his friend and kissed his temple softly. Even with touches and a hug, or that little kiss, it didn't feel sexual. It felt the same way it did when he was comforted by Ernie (or the other way around when that happened) and Justin just wanted Seamus to know that he was there for him.

"Hey, that's what friends are for, right?" He told Seamus.

Seamus closed his eyes and let himself be hugged for a moment. He tried to focus on the good - Justin was warm, he smelled nice, his kiss was gentle and didn't demand anything more. When he pulled back, he smiled, hoping Justin wouldn't notice if it still didn't reach his eyes. "Friends are also for breakfast," he said, voice determined. There was nothing wrong, nothing to talk about, so they should move on. "Gryffindor that I am, I will even try the first pancake and make sure you didn't mistake salt for sugar."

He picked up his coffee once more, taking a larger swallow now that it had cooled. "And we still have a movie to finish."

Justin gasped. "I'm moved. You are so brave, Seamus." He said in a princess-ish voice, putting a hand over his heart. He winked at Seamus and kissed his cheek before giving him his plate of chocolate pancakes. "I do hope they are okay. If they aren't, I've got a box of croissants." He said with a chuckle. "Syrup?"

Cracking a smile at Justin's princess impression, Seamus held out his plate. "Yes, syrup. What kind?" He'd never had chocolate pancakes before, but whether there was maple syrup, chocolate syrup or some other kind entirely he wanted it. It was all sugar, basically, right? How bad could it be? He studied his pancakes while Justin poured. He was glad he'd said they were chocolate pancakes, as otherwise he would have assumed they were burned. He'd probably have eaten them anyway, but it was nice to know they were supposed to be that colour.

"I've got.." He looked briefly and smiled. "I have some real Canadian Maple syrup in there. Grandmère brought it back for me from her last trip to Montreal. She has a cousin over there." A cousin he didn't know, but from what Constance had told him, she was a nice enough person and she visited over there at least twice a year.

He poured the syrup and watched Seamus as he studied his breakfast. He seriously hoped they were edible.

Seamus hummed happily. Maple syrup was definitely good. He had to put the plate down on the counter to cut off a piece of the pancake and pop it into his mouth. He chewed thoughtfully, getting accustomed to the combination of chocolate and pancake. "It's good," he finally announced, grinning at Justin.

He picked his plate up again and reached for Justin's hand, tangling their fingers together and tugging gently. "Let's go eat them in front of your TV, yeah?"

When Seamus took his hand and tangled their fingers together, Justin blushed a little. It was little things like these that had him get butterflies in his stomach, more than the sex. Because they had been sleeping together for a long while, he supposed, while that sort of affection was relatively new between them.

Then again, he wondered if it meant something or not but Seamus had asked a question so he elected on answering. "Well, thank Merlin you're not dying either." He said with a chuckle as they made their way towards the living room. "Definitely. We still need to finish Spiderman after all."
