Journal - Charm reminder
I need to find a good bruise-paste supplier. Ugh.

I just received my owl post with the reminder from Swish and Flick. I thought I'd pass it on.

Remember that the last day to submit an article for the Winter edition is the end of this month. Deirdre Boxe has one to two slots available to do peer reviews for the Spring edition, and several other people have similar offers on the table. And some of the titles for the articles that come out next week are exciting to my little black Charmed heart.

For those of you who don't know, the Swish and Flick is the Charms academic, theoretical, experimental, and new discovery journal around. If you're interested in such things, you should subscribe to it!

[PRIVATE WARD]

It is so frustrating sometimes, being forced to publish under a pseudonym. Do peer reviews under a pseudonym. Having to pretend I'm not as good as I am in such a venue. AAAAAAGH.

I want to gush about my accomplishments, how excited I am about my article. The one I'm polishing up for the Winter edition. To be able to collaborate would be nice.

Fucking reputations.

I have some extra, if you want it. My stepmother's original order got lost, so they sent her replacements, and then the first owl showed up a couple of days later (looking pretty weirded-out). So, we're set for the next two years or so. Shall I send Aeolus over after tea?

I'll take a bottle or two of it, if you don't mind. I can pay, I just want quality, and I'm having issues with the shop's potions supplier as it is.

(Poor owl. Freak storm?)

That would be fabulous, thank you so much.

Merlin only knows where the poor thing ended up, or why it went missing. I gave it some extra treats to try and make it feel a little less skittish, though I don't think it helped much.

You don't owe me a thing; I don't use much of it, and Jane gave me two very large tubes of it. So I'm glad to rehome what I can! Aeolus knows not to let you try to send any money back with him, so don't even think it.

Poor thing.

You and that smart owl of yours, really, Mils. But really, thank you. I really didn't want to go through the shop's supplier right now.

What did you give my owl, Dora? He's purring! If you've found a bird form of catnip, I demand a share.

I transfigured a couple of my owl meaty treats into a fake mouse for him to catch. He must have really liked it.

Didn't the Weasley twins invent that? You should probably talk to that prat George about it since he was in on the invention and probably has a better handle on it being in stock.

A friend is sending me some from her supplier. I just need something to help along the bruises sometimes.

I'd probably go to Greg anyway if I needed something. I never did talk with the twins much in school.

I'm surprised that pric Weasley allowed anyone the ingredients to supply it outside of himself and his shop.

I didn't, either, but they were an obvious presence when they were in school.

It might very well be a look-alike, but so long as it works on my bruises, I'm good.

Obvious is an understatement.
