Roger James Timothy Davies ([info]rogeringdavies) wrote in [info]finnigans_rpg,
Roger laughed and clapped Orla on the shoulders in a friendly manner. "I know right, it makes the whole exercise so much bloody easier," he said, fishing the list out of his pocket and handing it over to her. When he'd received the list - delivered by one of the interns at Cyprian's bank - he'd spent a little while laughing at the things that Sybil's mother had considered too common to be given as wedding presents. The list had included items such as flatware and plates that had colours other than off white, a rice cooker, a mortar and pestle, and a spice rack. "Apparently Sybil's mother is of the opinion that her daughter and future son-in-law are far too well bred to actually cook for themselves and will therefore have to starve," Roger said with a grin as he led the way down the street to Marks and Spencer.

He snorted at her practicality and nodded. "Well I already got them a season pass to the Tate Modern, so there's a good chance we'll find everything I need," he said as he idly scratched at his stubble. Sybil hadn't asked for it, but he'd had a conversation with both her and Cyprian the previous week where they'd chatted about mooching around the Musée d'Orsay when they were in Paris, and decided they'd probably get a kick out of the pass. "Besides, once we get them out of the way, we can look for stuff for us," he added with a grin as they entered the department store.
