"Oh, brilliant!" Orla said when Roger told her the news about getting a smuggled list of items. It was always easier shopping for wedding presents when there were lists, even if the items on the list weren't practical. Not that she was silently accusing Roger's... cousin, was it? Not that she was accusing Sybil and Cyprian of being illogical. She didn't even know them! But she did know some people bought more practically and that weddings had a tendency to bring out the practical home presents in loads of people, not just the bride and groom, and that that had its own problems. Too many toasters or blenders, for instance, and not enough of other needed or wanted items. Or not enough fun things the couple could enjoy together. So a list was always nice in her opinion.
"Marks and Spencer sounds like a great place to start! And, with luck, finish, too." Not because she was completely against shopping so much as she really did enjoy being able to get what she needed in as few shops as possible. It was a convenience store for her, a time saving thing, and that desire to kill two birds with one stone was with her today. Her mind wandered a little bit at the possibility of picking up a few things for herself and for Christmas for her friends (it was never too early to shop for Christmas) if time permitted. Or if she stumbled upon something she thought someone might like. "Lead the way," she said, bouncing lightly on her feet, excited at the prospect of what this shopping excursion would bring.
