Viktor thought he recognized the look around her eyes, a tightness that spoke of stress. He remembered a time when she'd not really had that. He knew better than to press anything, however; he was generally pretty adept at that, at least when it came to her. "As the lady wishes," he said. He quickly ordered her that light salad and himself a sandwich and chips. He'd put the latter in the middle in case they might entice her to nibble.
"Frustrating, da," he conceded, accepting the word though he wasn't sure it was quite the exact fit. English, despite his vast improvements over the years since he first met her, still wasn't his best skilled language. "Though he is too cute to be upset at much." A cuter baby than he'd been, and he hoped his son would grow up to be better looking than himself.
"What you were talking about on that journal, it sounded very interesting," he said, encouraging her to elaborate. "Did you get the good feedback you vere looking for?"
