Intro the 2nd
Hey all! Jaime here again with my 2nd character, the ever-Percyish Percy Weasley. Feel free to take a look at his bio, which I've strived to keep from turning into a novel, but here are some of the more pertinent facts:

  • Percy is mostly the same old stick-up-his-arse Ministry man, though somewhat tempered by his experiences up till the end of the last war. He was monumental in getting many of the Death Eaters and sympathizers who had taken over the Ministry put in Azkaban thanks to his recording every detail of everything he witnessed and making copies of every document he could get his hands on. He was also a member of Minister Shacklebolt's reform team, and is now deputy head of the Department of Magical Transportation and Director of Broom Regulation Control.
  • Percy has a 6 year old daughter named Lucy who is the apple of his eye and the one person guaranteed to make his face light up. Lucy's mother and Percy aren't exactly on good terms - they were only together the once for a drunken hookup the night after Fred's funeral (a night Percy wanted to be anyone but himself and acted very un-Percylike) - but they at least agree mostly about Lucy's welfare and manage to remain civil enough to agree on custody arrangements. I've deliberately left details about Lucy's mother vague so that anyone can step in, if they're interested! (The more potentially embarrassing a link the better, imo!)
  • Percy's a frequent enough visitor at Finnigan's when he doesn't have Lucy with him - he cheers for Puddlemere United, is super-competitive at the pub quiz, and brushes up on his defensive skills at the Duelling Club. He also enjoys watching wizarding chess matches.

Am very excited to bring my Percy here! Feel free to poke me with plottages of all kind - I'd love friends, rivals (especially on the pub quiz), etc etc. Am also open to most ideas, so hit me up!

Tina here! I'm sure Adrian's seen Percy around the bar but I doubt they interact much. Cho is friendly with everyone and has probably worked with him in Transportation for some of her parties :)

Hey Tina!

No worries about Adrian, plus I'm always up for random interactions :D

Should Percy have an event to organize, he will surely call upon Cho ;) Otherwise, they're sure to interact!

I just want to say my previous Hannah/Percy memories are some of my best.

Okay, now on with the show. Blaise obviously knows him from work and they are in the Dueling Club together.

Also, I am so wishing right now I had another female muses that I could toss up there but the only one I have that isn't taken here is Hermione and that would never happen and Romilda Vane was only 16 at the time.

(Will reply here for both Percy and Ernie to save space :-p)

Those were fun! Even when playing poor Percy's reaction to getting dumped for Ernie :-p

Blaise & Ernie: Definitely up for seeing what sticks, though I think Blaise is also smart enough not to piss off one of the Duelling club healers whose job it would be to fix him if he's hit by a curse (especially seeing as Ernie's specialty is spell damage)

Blaise & Percy: Would def. know each other, might even get on well - though be wary, the friendlier you are, the more likely you'll be to be 'forced' to look at baby pictures. And you're right, no matter how drunk, I don't think Percy would have shagged someone that underage - but it's okay, we'll still have fun!

Other: I'm actually working on a 3rd character, older Slytherin who graduated at the end of Blaise's first year, so there may be some place for connections once she's done ;)

Those were the days!!

Ernie - Blaise doesn't really care who he pisses off. He is who he is and you either like him or hate him. He doesn't actively annoy people. Never really has.

Percy - Blaise doesn't do baby pictures.

Yeah Romi wouldn't have been around a bar anyway. But you have me thinking muses so I was like hmmmm, I did have a Marietta but she hasn't been dusted off since the GJ days. I also have an Astoria but I don't like to have two in one house in any game.

Yay Percy, our first Weasley! Let's see:

1. Seamus would remember Percy as a prefect and head boy. Probably got on the wrong side of him a couple of times with general Gryffindor inability to not do stupid things. Nowadays, they're probably friendylish?

2. Dominic would know Percy from duelling club if nothing else.

3. Lucy probably doesn't really know Percy at all.

1. I think most younger years got on his side once or twice, but funny enough, enough though Percy was hard on them, he always went out of his way to make sure he didn't have to report them to McGonagall - better they get on Percy's bad side than hers *snickers*. But yeah, definitely friendlyish now. Percy's a good customer, often steps in when there's disagreements, and worse come worse, can transfigure any offenders into the creature of his choice (and yes, turning you into a sea urchin is his way of calling you a prick).

2. Sounds good! Plus Percy has a healthy respect for Ravenclaws of all sorts.

3. That just means she has the wonderful opportunity of meeting him for the very first time without preconceived notions ;)

First off: eeeeee! Percy!

And now that that's out of the way:

Alicia definitely remembers Percy from school and may have been chastised a couple of times by him or gotten in trouble courtesy of the twins. If things simply were that, she would probably still be seeing him as the git with the broomstick up his bum, however... things are not simply that. Alicia's twins, Isla and Liam, will be 6 this December, so there's always the single parent aspect (though yes, Percy does have shared custody over Lucy, but it's still something) and their kids are going to be in the same year at school, so :D

And Melinda (who I'm still trying to get ready to introduce), I doubt would really know Percy, other than he was a strict Prefect who dated one of the older girls from her house. She was Ravenclaw and is 3 years younger than Percy, and she runs Sweet Nothings, a pâtisserie in Monument Alley.

Eeee back!

Definitely some discipline if she followed the twins into trouble (though she may have noticed he was harder on them most of all - for him, it was his way of trying to help them/keep them out of trouble and protect them like his mum wanted him to do). Oh, and Alicia now has a whole new empathy for what it's like to deal with a pair of twins! Percy's heart goes out for her for that ;) Interaction potential: since their children are so close in age, maybe they connected at one point to arrange playdates to socialize the children?

As for Malinda, she would definitely know Percy as the doting father regularly being pulled in by an over-eager child asking for sweets.

Yeah, my apologies about that, but for all his uptightness and being a prat, Percy's been a favourite of mine since I read the books.

I wouldn't say that Alicia so much followed the twins into trouble as much as they were her friends and trouble seemed to happen around her when they were present. But, she was also a teenager and you know how everything and everybody are just unfair to you at that age ;) Yes, to playdates. I see Alicia as still being friends with George and though Percy may not be as close with his family, it is a connection that could have let to interaction away from a Weasley setting. Alicia's kids are attending Muggle school, or will once the school year start, but they still need connections and socialisation with wizarding kids.

LOL. Melinda would remember him, and she probably won't be helping him with having treats or small cookies for the children when they visit. She will try, though, if it looks like he needs help.

No worries - I appreciate fellow Percy-lovers ;)

Excellent! Though despite his adherence to rules, he would have appreciated who were the actual troublemakers and who had just been at the wrong place/time. As for the children, etc, Alicia would have definitely seen the different side of Percy coming out with Lucy. I can see them having interesting discussions about Muggle school vs home-school (which is what Percy is doing) - so all in all it sounds fun!

No worries, Percy knows just how long and far he can indulge his daughter (plus it gives him an excuse to get a treat for himself), and he's very good at putting his foot down. But either way, it can mean intersting interactions at the shop!

Hehe, yeah, I think Percy would have seen a different side of Alicia as well; she's not quite as lenient with her kids as she is with regular people. She's mild and gentle, of course, and she may have wide boundaries, but she will not tolerate those boundaries being broken. Ooh, those discussions ARE bound to be interesting.

Definitely plenty of opportunities :)

Hey Jaime.

I'm thinking Percy and Dean might have had a few run ins when Percy was a prefect, nothing too serious but maybe a few lost points and a talking to for Dean. Dean was probably a bit eyerollingly impatient and thought Percy was a stick-in-the-mud or something similar but less polite.

Since Hogwarts... I'm guessing the pub is their main point of interaction unless he's got a hidden interest in art! Dean's probably amused by how vicious Percy is about the quiz and glad he's not generally caught up in that. Happy enough to serve him his drinks and exchange a few words when he's working.

I'm sensing a pattern with Gryffindors lol. I'm game for that. Percy appreciates art to look at, but has no talent in it whatsoever - but if Dean regularly sells works, Percy might be interested in buying one.

He does sell at all times, technically speaking, but mostly when the four of them in the studio do an art show. He's been involved in at least one since he finished training already. And at least one while he was an apprentice (only a couple of his pieces were on show/sale then).

I'm planning for there to be another gallery/show/whatever soonish. I'm hoping Tina might agree to Cho helping with planning.

JAIME!!! It's Sarah (aka [info]bodysaysno) from a lot of things, and I'm excited to see your Percy again! Aaaaand so is my Oliver, who adores him to bits! I think he tried to get him to come out of his shell some at Hogwarts, though not as bad as the twins (and he probably admonished them sometimes for the stunts they pulled...unless they were hilarious XD). They are the same year, so I'd like to think they knew each other pretty damn well from being in the same dorm for 7 years. He was at Fred's funeral too, so he definitely understands why he would have gotten a bit messed up, ahem. Though he's got no children of his own (thank god for the world).

BASICALLY THEY ARE FRIENDS THE END I DUN CURRRR

Hey Sarah! Awesome to see you and Oliver here! I've got some head!canon for Oliver & Percy, so why don't I throw some of it out and you tell me what sticks for you and your Olli?

Oliver was lucky enough to see Percy without his younger siblings around for 2 years, so he saw the somewhat lighter and "capable of being casual on occasion" side of Percy. They may have bonded over quidditch (Percy's cheered for Puddlemere since he was young, but never too vocally around the Burrow - one of many things he tended to keep to himself). And yeah, seeing each other day after day at school.

Especially after reading Oliver's bio, I have this image of Percy one day sitting him down and going "Oliver, we need to talk about your grades because I don't want to take the risk of them not letting you play anymore because you're the best keeper we have. Now, if you like, we can institute a study regimen that would compliment your training regimen to allow you maximum time for flying, schoolwork, and yes, personal time as well because I know that's important to you and I wouldn't have you do otherwise..."

I sense they sort of drifter apart in the immediate years after school, especially with the break in the WEasley family, but maybe reconnected after the battle? Percy would have appreciated seeing Oliver there at the funeral, for sure. And I think he wouldn't have anyone else show his daughter how to fly a broom :D

All of this sounds great! That was pretty much what I had seen for them as well. He LOVES kids, especially girls, and he will insist Lucy call him Uncle Ollie and he'll happily teach her to ride a broom and play tea party and all that. He's great with kids because he IS a big kid lol.
