Vikesh was one of the last of the Ballycastle players to leave that night, having retreated to a corner to meditate for half an hour. It had done him a world of good - his mind felt settled, his soul more at ease, and he was in better control of his emotions. The only one that weighed upon him now was shame at how he'd allowed them to get the best of him earlier in the game.

With a sigh, he slung his bag over his shoulder - the one that hadn't been injured, as the healer had said to take it easy for at least a day while the magic did its work - and started walking down the hall toward the exit.

His introspection was broken when he spotted a figure coming toward him, something that unconsciously spoke to his quidditch training. Thankfully, instead of reaching for the nearest bludger-like object, he slowed and eventually stopped when she caught up to him. He was a little shocked that it was his on-the-pitch oppnent, whom he'd spent so long going after with bat and bludger, but her words were even more of a surprise.

"I'm all right," he replied, shrugging with only his good shoulder. "Nothing a healer can't put to right."

He shifted his bag off his shoulder and put it down on the ground, a small twinge in his face the only indication of any lingering stiffness he felt. He put out his right hand - if anything, he was a good sport above all else. "Congratulations. You fought a good game."

The twinge on his face wasn't lost on Orla, and she made a note to mention it later, mostly as she had a suggestion for it. For the moment, she took his hand in her own and gave a firm shake, smiling. "You fought well, too," she complimented him. "Even if, at some point, I'm pretty sure you were trying to take my head off." Despite her words, her tone and face were friendly, even joking. She likely wouldn't admit it, but there could have been a little tiny bit of her own fault in the whole incident with the bludger getting too close to her head. But that was a big maybe. Ahem.

"If you're shoulder still hurts or is stiff or anything, you should look into a massage," she suggested. "Hardd Knut in Monument Alley is pretty good! I know massages can be a bit too much touching for some people, but the owner enlists magical means as well. Healers are great! But sometimes it's nice to have some attention on the tender muscles even after they fix up the injuries. And they're great for all sore muscles." Really, Orla idly thought about heading over there tomorrow to see if there were any free slots before practise.

"Hey," he protested, letting go of her hand - he had never been one to have much of a sense of humour, "I was aiming for your chaser, they just happened to move out of the way before it hit them. I try to stay away from heads - it's not sportsmanlike."

He nodded, unconsciously moving to rub at his shoulder. "I'm sure it couldn't hurt. If it doesn't get better in a day or two, maybe I'll give it a try. I usually prefer to sit and meditate a while, get my energies back in line and increase my healing power." And speaking of energies, his eyes took her in from head to toe in case he could see her aura (which he did on occasion), and couldn't miss the fact that she was wearing... very little for this weather. "Did those fans with the clothing disappearance spell hit you too?"

"Naw." Orla shook her head. "It's hot in the changing rooms, and if I meet up with my team to celebrate, it gets hot -- you know, groups of people and body heat making the air a bit too warm at times. And if I go home, I don't really need to wear my winter robes for travel," she said with an easy laugh. "So, Muggle clothes work just fine for either occasion. But if I had plans to go anywhere else, I'd go home and change." She just didn't that night, and she wasn't about to head to a pub for a drink or two and be overwhelming hot with a pint in her and bodies all around.

"Anyway, have you ever tried reiki? I don't know if it's offered at Hardd Knut or not, but it's a kind of energy healing, healing through energy, which could work well with your meditation and getting your energies back in line. I don't know a lot of details of it, but it could be worth looking into if you haven't before." However, it'd been something she'd idly considered looking into, if for no other reason than to see how it worked alongside her magical abilities. She briefly wondered if there were wizards or witches who practised it and how it might even relate to magical massages.

He caught his eyes glancing back down at her bared legs and immediately chastised himself. This was not the time, the place, or the person to have impure thoughts - though her mention of body heat didn't help at all.

He nodded, curious. "I think I've heard the word before, but haven't looked into it. It sounds like it has potential." He tilted his head and slid his hands into his pockets. "What sort of training regimen do you have? Standard weights, aerobics, and flying? Or something more?"

Orla studied him a moment, mostly curious, wondering how to answer that question. Her training regiment didn't include anything illegal, but did she want to give up all the details of it? She may harbour no ill will toward Vikesh for things that happened on the pitch, but that didn't mean he wasn't still her competition in the long run. Of course, for all she knew, they could both end up on the same team one day. Despite that, that didn't mean she had to reveal all her secrets to him now or later, if that happened.

Shrugging, she said, "That, and some balancing exercises. You know, things to help keep balance for those moments when both hands are off the broom or quick turns or dodging stray bludgers and players." She grinned at the last bit. "And hand-eye slash eye-bat coordination drills, but I figure that's standard with weights, aerobics, and flying exercises. What about you? You do anything extra with your training?"

Vikesh was completely genuine in his question - while some of his teammates may play games, he was up front and honest about everything. He wasn't the kind of person one could trust a secret, but he could always be relied upon to tell someone the ugly truth.

"I actually don't do much with weights. I fly regularly, and the rest of the time I work on yoga and meditation. I've always believed, however, that true power comes from the spirit. Once we rid ourselves of greed and hatred, of pettiness and luxuries and everything that's not a necessity in life, then we can fully be who we're meant to be. I try to pass that on to my teammates - that's probably why we scored more than you did. The snitch almost didn't matter in the end."

Orla's brows rose, an amused smirk playing on her lips. She may have had her own reasons for deciding to respond to the accidental near miss to her head, but she hadn't forced Vikesh to respond. Granted, it worked well in her mind since it wasn't something she was against doing under certain circumstances, even if it occasionally earned her a reputation as mental, but that didn't mean others had to respond in kind. Especially not others who began preaching about true power coming from spirit and giving up things to be who they're meant to be. She may not have, on some levels, fully disagreed with him; however, it still amused her that he'd say such a thing while clearly not taking his own advice.

"Interesting outlook," she said, meaning it, though she had no current desire to discuss beliefs and philosophies. "Maybe some time you can tell me more about it, but I've got to get going." She'd left her bag in the changing room and needed to get it before heading out. "But it was a good game," she said, giving his injured shoulder a pat on the side. She winced a little, saying, "Sorry about that. And the initial injury. Hope it feels better soon!"

He was about to reply to her initial comment, but the pat to his shoulder had him wincing again - though he did his best not to show it. Damned pride. He grit his teeth and offered a benign look.

"Oh, I'm sure it will before the next match. It barely bruised, anyway. I hope you enjoy your celebration." He reached down to pick up his bag again, slinging it over his good shoulder.

"I hope you have a good night," Orla said with a smile. Then she waved at him and turned around, letting her mind wander to what she might do that evening. She headed off toward the changing rooms to get her bag, idly debating on if she should go out or stay in. Both had their pros and cons. As she thought about it, her stomach growled a little bit. She realised regardless of what she did that night, she definitely needed to get something to eat. And that thought had her mind wandering to various restaurants she go to and just what she wanted to eat that night.
