I didn't exactly conquer him, and I wouldn't say that I climbed him either, but...

Indonesia's warm and getting wetter each day. Apparently we've arrived right at the end of the dry season and then beginning of the wet season.

Dennis is good, really good, though the humidity is doing fun things to his hair.

And Eddie... you should have started with him, because really? Why wait until now? Eddie's good, he's working hard, he's acting like a mouthpiece between me and our guides (because apparently they have to address me through my "brother") and he's dying to know how you're doing.

How's Rolf? Have you seen him? Tell him I miss him and give him a hug. A long hug.

Oh by Helga's breath, please please please snap a picture of Dennis with his horrifically curly hair. I need it because reasons.

Oh well that's... Good? He hasn't... He hasn't sent me an owl or anything yet so you know. Nice he's thinking of me though. He uh, told me he wanted to be more than just casual before you lot left so it's all a bit new.

I haven't seen Rolfie yet but I will make a point to go and see him and give him a hug. Maybe not too long, no need to make things weird.

Honestly? I'm not surprised. Not that he wanted to be more (which THAT IS AMAZING, SUSAN!!), and not that he hasn't sent you and owl either. We're not exactly in a place where Owls are readily available, and he has been crazy busy this time, in no part thanks to him being my half-brother on paper. This is the first time I'm getting the chance to look at the journal, and I'm not dealing with half as much as he is. Wish that I were though.

No, no weird things, I just wish I could do it. I'll give Eddie a hug when I can?

The downside? I know they're only doing it to show their respect for me, for Eddie, but I just wish they would disrespect the shit out of me and talk to ME, just once, instead of Eddie. Sure, I've had plenty of interesting conversations with the women about ... things, but it'd be nice to be able to ask questions without having my supposed half-brother as a link.

It is, isn't it? Haven't a clue if it's male or female, but it's the only one I've seen here. A loris, isn't it?

Oh, no, don't. They ARE being respectful of me, which is why they are talking to Eddie. Normally, I would object and push back against it, but we're only here for a very brief time, and it's just not worth the hassle.

I will be back sometime next week, which is far too long, but a lot shorter than some of the other missions. Right now I've wrapped my blanket tightly around my shoulders. Then I can almost imagine that it's you.... who am I kidding? It's nowhere near you.

Me too, and it'll be the first thing I change when I become Queen of the World, right? I'll live, as will Eddie, and then we will find another solution the next time we're in this situation.

He is a lucky loris, though it could be argued that Bast is luckier; she's getting cuddled by you.

	Far too long, but true, shorter than some. I just got spoiled this week, having you with me. And trust me, Bast is nothing on you, but shh, don't tell her that or she'll punish us both.
