Alicia and Dominic (and Open)
With a chuckle and shaking her head slightly, Alicia carefully tasted her drink. “One of the few people in the place who rarely has more than one drink in an evening, and you capture me accepting this monstrosity,” she grinned at Dominic, then shrugged, because the drink was deliciously sweet and fresh. “Good to see you, too. Especially now that I can actually see your face.” It wasn’t a rare sight to see Dominic in the pub, however he usually had his head buried in some project or – like tonight – hidden behind a camera.
“No, no kiddies tonight. They just came home from a trip with my parents, so they’re in bed already.” Turning in her seat until she was facing him, she cast an appreciative glance around the room. “You did a great job, though. Don’t count on this being the last time you do this,” she warned with a chuckle. “Come winter, it’d be brilliant for a play date. The twins would love it, and I’m sure Percy’s Lucy would too. Lisa’s Christopher. It’d be a hit.”
