Gwenog Jones ([info]haveyoumet_) wrote in [info]finnigans_rpg,
Gwenog sipped from her butterbeer as she waited for a response, when it came she stiffened. The Wizarding world was generally somewhat more tolerant of queer identities than the muggle one, but it wasn't a hard and fast thing. Plus a lot of it was a hidden-in-corners type deal until more recently. There were always places to be found but it hadn't been so obvious. She couldn't quite place where Pansy was coming from.

The second part of her comment though calmed the towering head of steam building up with in her somewhat. She took a calming breath and narrowed her eyes at Pansy.

"Don't call it a trend. These are people's lives. I'm all for positive promotion of queer issues, fuck, even if it's just for your own gain, but don't screw the people over or call them a trend," she said. She didn't bother to shout more than was necessary to be heard over the music.

She glanced at the poster, having seen it before. "Tonight's mostly what you'd expect when you come to a club. Music, drinking, flirting, dancing that might look like sex standing up. Just less chance of getting hexed for hitting on the wrong person. Plus there's the whole sense of community thing," she said. "Not exactly difficult." She didn't go in so much for the community herself, although she certainly appreciated it from time to time.
