"London's great for exploring because of the fucked up street plan, but it's so much easier when you can duck into a hidden doorway and apparate away when you get lost or bored," he said with a grin.
He shrugged in response to her surprise. "It was actually the first time I'd met him, although I obviously know the family name, but yes, I'm something of an animal fan, although Kettleburn was my professor not Hagrid," said, straightening up after checking his wand was secure. "And yes, about thirteen years of dragon-keeping and research in Romania until I lost my leg to Vipertooth poison earlier this year," he sighed. "Couldn't keep up after that; hence the club. Glad you like it by the way." He might well have served her drinks at one point or another now that he thought about it but the light wasn't usually that great for picking out features and half the time he barely had chance to remember more than the most basic of features to ensure he got drinks to the right people.
