New Chef Number One!
I am relieved thrilled to announce that Finnigan's finally has a new chef! Any bad experiences you've had lately with the food should now be behind us and I'd appreciate it if you'd come give us another try. If you had a disappointing meal (whether it was refunded at the time or not) and you let me know, I'll give you half off your food bill any night in the next two weeks.

Anyone looking for something to do tonight, we're having Beginner's Night at the Wizarding Chess Championship. Veteran players, including myself, will be around to teach you the ropes or answer your questions so do come and see us.

Oh, and there's some very exciting news coming up about a charity raffle, so keep your eyes open and go sign up to the Fawley Foundation's newsletter if you haven't already.

[Warded to Dean]
New kid calls me 'sir'.

You've been a huge help lately and I appreciate it, but I bet you're glad to be off the hook!

I don't mind working in the kitchen when needed, but I won't miss dealing with customers complaining about their food.

Oh good. I wasn't going to say, but that thing I had the other day... Um. Yes.

I need to practice again. It's been years.

Come in and have a game with me, then I'll get you some decent food. Two birds, one stone.

Sounds good to me. Don't slaughter my poor wrinkled pride too badly, though. I'm all over better food though.

I promise. On both counts.

If you're patient enough to teach someone new, you'll still be welcome.

If not wait til next week and you can join in on our usual matches.

We should I'm sorry about I didn't mean to

Thank goodness for the new chef. No offense for those who were doing their best, but I do rely on food I don't cook myself.

Ooooh is the new chef hot? Also, can they cook better than the last one? There should never be burnt orange peel in an omelette Seamus, especially when you actually ordered bangers and mash.

He once served me a "salad" which was a piece of mouldy lettuce and a tomato. So yes, yes he was.

I have been cooking since I was three years old, so I know my way around a kitchen fairly well! I have plans to whip the kitchen into shape. I have not heard good things about my predecessor.

I hope the regular patrons like my versions of old favorites, ha ha.

To be fair, he used to be fairly decent. He just sort of used to do silly things - chilli powder instead of paprika, balsamic vinegar instead of wine, vodka instead of water. But he got a bit silly towards the end. It'll be nice to eat at Princess'- that is, Seamus' again.

Oh thank god. Finally reliable and good food again.

Also, I have gotta see how quickly I can discourage that. Don't need it going to your head. See you tomorrow for open?
