"It'll be worth it," Seamus assured him. "And after, maybe we can sneak a couple of days off." Other than Christmas, Seamus basically hadn't taken a holiday since he started Finnigan's. Maybe it was time to change that. Go somewhere, even. He could leave Bryn and Ben in charge for a couple of days.
Seamus nodded his confirmation and apparated out, leaving Dean to ward up and follow. He pushed the door of his mam's kitchen open, finding the room dark and empty. "Mam?" he called. "Your favourite boy is home." A quick touch of his wand lit several magical lamps around the room - and in the living room, which had also been dark. Hearing no response he returned to the kitchen and peered behind the door at the calendar. Monday was ringed in blue ink - a note that said simply 'C social' fit neatly into the box. So Mam was out, which meant da was almost certain at the pub.
This was disappointing, but not the end of the world and by the time Dean showed up Seamus was already pawing through cupboards in search of food.
