Hi everyone, I just moved to London and stuff, so yeah.

I know it's been a while since I've been around, but I don't think I'm going anywhere anytime soon. Let me know if anyone wants to go out for drinks or whatever.

There's a McDonalds a few blocks from the Leaky Cauldron and that's the one I work at, so if you happen to swing by when I'm there I can hook you up with some chips or something.

And in that train of thought, if anyone is hiring and the job is less shitty than Maccy D's, please let me know.

Far too long! Working for a charity in London. Live near Tufnell Park. Was it you who sent me a journal?

I can't remember but it's certainly not out of the question, I suppose. I did get pretty drunk the other night

I'm living in a shitty flat in London, and it's so different from Merthyr it's insane. Also oddly similar, in the sketchier areas.

That's cool that you're doing the nonprofit thing, sounds like a good service or something

But how did you know I was alive where to send it??

Well, I'm not volunteering myself. Can't afford to. I'm their little admin angel. Do you work weekends? Evenings? We should meet up.

We definitely should. The plus side to working at the arse-crack of dawn is that my afternoons are pretty free, and I managed to wrestle a schedule that gave me weekends off. When is a good time for you?

And I'm pretty sure I didn't send you anything - mostly because, if nothing else, I'm really shit at getting post out.

Weekends are good, if only everything cool weren't totally packed. I know a great (cheap) sandwich place off Leciester Square, but I don't want to get anywhere near it on a Saturday!

My local does good reasonably good food, if you want to grab lunch and then set up at a table before it gets busy.

All of those sound like good options. What's Thursday like for you? I can't actually do anything this weekend. I have my son family stuff all this weekend.

I can do Thursday after work. Grab a sandwich (they're really good, I promise!) and sit either out in Leicester Square or under cover in Covent Garden watching the performers, depending on the weather.

Either way, meet you at Leicester Square tube station about 6ish?

Hi Suze! Justin tells me you're an auror or something? That's...suitably terrifying and simultaneously awesome. How have you been?

Hello darling! I am an Auror yes, finished the training a couple of years ago. Why terrifying?
I'm good though! I'm living in Hampstead in my aunt's old house and working hard. What's new with you?

Not a whole lot, just...getting back into the world, you know.

And "terrifying" because it's so easy to imagine you kicking a global volume of collective arse. I'd believe it if you told me that you simultaneously terrify and turn on any given population. Sorry was that too much

Well depends on what you want to do. I know I could use a reliable shop assistant, or two, but you have to be good with animals among other things. If you're interested, feel free to come by and we'll discuss it.

I'm not sure what your experience is outside of food service, but I have an opening at Wingbeat, the club on Monument Alley. It would mean mostly night hours (9pm-4am) Thursday-Sunday. If you're interested let me know. Owls addressed to Charlie Weasley at Wingbeat work just fine, or if you've no owl feel free to send a warded journal message.

Wayne! Drinks, we must have them - the more the better.

And McDonald's, that's the one with the pretty yellow sign, right? I love that sign. And chips. You know what I like, mate.

Yep! Signs, chips, and drinks. and men?

What time works for you? My afternoons and weekends are pretty open, but since you're like a big important healer or something, your schedule is probably more rigid than mine

Well, we all knew I was destined for greatness. I'm lucky, I've a regular shift at St. Mungo's so my evenings and most weekends are free.

How about Monday for dinner? We can catch some of those chips, or go somewhere else - Muggle or wizard, I'm good for either. And while we eat, you can tell me all about where you've been, what's happened, and so on.

Monday dinner sounds good! Though if you want actual food, I'd recommend against McDonald's...unless you've never been, in which case, you need to have a Big Mac. As a sort of rite of passage.

I work mornings so I'm usually off by about 2 or 3 anyway, so yeah. We should definitely hang out.

Actual food? What were those hamburgers made of then? Muggles are strange sometimes... Actual food will will be fine. You choose someplace fun and I will be there.

You crack me up. I can picture the face you're making. How about I meet you behind the Leaky Cauldron where the barrier is between the Wizarding and Muggle world, and I can take you to McDonald's? If you don't like it, we can always go somewhere else. Four o'clock Monday evening okay?

If you consider tanning yourself and serving tea and biscuits, there's a young lady who recently made an entry who might consider hiring you.

[Wayne]

I'll check my schedule and I'll come back to you about it.
