Greg nodded as he listened, absorbing George's instructions carefully so he wouldn't have to ask again. He might not be as lively as George's other shop assistants had been, but he could follow orders. Especially ones that would keep him away from customers. "I can do all that," he agreed, thinking that this would be a good chance to move the canary creams as he'd promised Percy without drawing too much attention to the fact.
He scowled as he looked over at the register, which was still snapping at him every chance it got. "Couldn't you pay me something now?" It didn't have to be all the wages he'd earned, just a token might do it. Though Greg wasn't at all convinced the cash register was ever going to recognise him. Still it was worth a shot.
