Lavender had avoided going for a run when she'd woken up. In all honesty, she would do just about anything to avoid running because she could hardly put into words how much she resented it, even though it had thus far proved the best way for her to keep in shape. So, she promised herself a long walk around the wizarding district, which may or may not take in a few shops as well as the park off Monument Alley. Walking was walking, after all, no matter where you did it.
As she entered the park, she noticed that the leaves were just starting to change. Most of the trees seemed to be clinging to their summer greenery for as long as they could, but now oranges and yellows were starting to creep among the foliage. Lavender had grown up with a herbologist for a father and she loved the outdoors, especially when the seasons were changing. A few more weeks and it would be beautifully autumnal here.
Her sharp eyes caught sight of Dean, recognising him first from his posture. Lavender smiled. "Dean!" she called, still a little way away, trying her very hardest not to startle him. Giving him a wave, she added, "Hi!"
