Although he'd been in a rather awful mood after the match the day before - which was his standard response to dealing with a loss - Marcus was actually rather looking forward to spending the day with Roger. He still wasn't looking too closely at his own motivations for that feeling, but that didn't stop him from getting the sensation of butterflies in his stomach as he got ready in the morning.
After a shower, he got dressed, hoping that his slacks, plain white button down and light wool coat would be suitable - because he had no idea how Muggles dressed, and what was he getting himself into here? - he had enough time to stop by Sweet Nothings and grab a couple pastries on his way to Roger's without being late.
Marcus laid his knuckles to the other man's door at exactly nine, and he couldn't stop himself from smiling back when Roger opened it. "Good morning," he said, and then held out the bag from Melinda's shop like an offering. "I brought breakfast, if you're interested." And if he wasn't, Marcus wasn't opposed to eating his half.
