Something inside loosened and unraveled when she kissed him back, relief and a giddy, thrilling into every part of him. It wasn't just him. She felt it too. The worry he'd held and thought about at night lately eased and disappeared, at least for now, replaced by a feeling of rightness he'd never felt in any of his few other relationships.
His head tilted and his lips met hers more firmly, discarding hesitation in favor of pursuing this wonderful thing that seemed to have happened. He'd repressed the desire to do this for years, hidden even from himself. His lips parted slightly against hers, urging her silently to do the same.
