"Bachelor auction?" Rich couldn't help but laugh. "My luck, somebody's maiden great aunt Matilda would win me." He grinned. "Rather than a straight up action, make it a raffle. Buy as many tickets as you want on the bachelors you want. That way the girl who can only afford one ticket has at least some chance of winning. Sure, throw my hat in the ring. Along with my hat I'll put up a weekend in Paris - separate rooms, don't you know - and a one-off gown and shoes from some of my friends in the French fashion industry to sweeten the pot."

"Better chance doing that than at the Chess Club, anyway."
