Lisa was looking forward to tonight. Christopher was settled in with Mrs. Kettlering, and Lisa had the entire evening for actual grown-up fun. She could hardly believe it! She loved her kid, but sometimes it was nice to be just another young twenty-something in a crowd of other young twenty-somethings. She'd even splurged on a new outfit, something she rarely had the money for. But business was good, and a girl had to have fun once in awhile. And Finnigans was the perfect place.
With a bounce in her step and a grin on her face, she entered the pub and headed straight for the bar. She slid onto a stool, and ordered a beer. Beer wasn't her favorite, but she'd save the hard stuff for a night when she didn't have a shipment coming early the next morning. Drink in hand, she scanned the crowd for a friendly face.
She was so busy scanning the crowd, she didn't notice the wizard right in front of her until she'd bumped him from behind. "Oh my god. I'm so sorry! Did I make you spill anything? I'm such a klutz."
