"Pepper-up, that's right," Lucy echoed, the words coming back to her as Ernie said them. "I don't know, an owl might freak my housemates out a bit." She'd been lucky that the owl with the journal had arrived at her bedroom window and she'd been alone, but she didn't think having owls arrive for her on a regular basis was at all a good idea. "I can just buy some, but thanks anyway."
Lucy smiled, remembering what they'd all been like at that age. "You seemed very knowledgable to me," she reminded him. "I felt so lost, and you were so helpful explaining all the terms I didn't understand."
