It had felt like ages since the last time he'd seen Susan, so Marcus was pleased to have gotten her owl about dinner. He hadn't been joking about needing a conversation about something other than Quidditch, and he wanted an outside opinion on something anyway. Ever since Roger had mentioned it, the idea of another tattoo to cover up his Dark Mark had been running through his mind at intermittent intervals, and as tempting as it was, he still wasn't entirely sure if what he'd come up with was a good idea.
So after practice he'd gone home to shower and change, grabbed the piece of parchment with a duplicate of Bryony's sketch from years ago, and headed over. Normally he would have brought something along, but he hadn't had time, and he felt a little bad about it.
Knocking on the door at the appointed time, Marcus didn't have to wait long until Susan was opening it, and he returned her smile with one of his own. "Hey yourself," he said, stepping inside. "How've you been?"
