He nodded approvingly at the remedy and managed a small smile at the man. "Thank you kindly. And I know she shouldn't, but she knows by now that I'll pay for it." One way or another.
He took a moment to pat Lucy over to make certain there were no stray feathers still in place, ignoring her overly pleased expression. "Oh, she definitely enjoys the feathers far too much, that's for certain. She's certainly intelligent enough for Ravenclaw, but is unfortunately reckless enough to be a Gryffindor, as you've seen."
He stood up straight and reached into his pocket for a couple of galleons. "This should more than cover the sweet," he said as he handed it to Goyle. "And the rest you can keep for yourself... in exchange for not mentioning this to my brother, of course."
