Come cuddle
Who: Open to Hannah, Susan, Bryn, Dennis, Justin, Neville, Luna, Ernie, Ben, Megan & Dean - And also to anyone who may have followed them up from Battlescars / the pub.
What: Cuddles, cheering up. ETA: Or, as it turns out, angst.
Where: The Roost
When: After lunch Sunday - potentially Monday morning if people stay over
Rating: SFW (Seamus says no sex or nudity in his pub! Language is fine, I'll update the rating if we need it.)

Seamus hadn't bothered to get Dominic to alter The Roost for his impromptu cuddle party so the room was in more or less its natural stage. Wide open, taking up the whole of the second floor, with white walls and big windows along both sides it was pleasant if not particularly exciting. Before Battlescars, Seamus dragged not only his pillows and duvet down from his flat but also all the spare cushions from his couch. He'd used cleaning and freshening charms on all of it and then, in a fit of whimsy, charmed it all yellow in honour of Hufflepuff.

It wasn't quite 'the Hufflepuff common room' that he'd originally suggested to Dean in order to cheer up Susan, but he suspected it would do. It was the people more than the furniture that made a cuddle party what it was. The snacks he'd promised were already stowed in one corner - bags of marshmallows and popcorn, a stack of chocolate frogs and a thermos of hot chocolate. He suspected people would be adding to his supplies as they arrived.

Susan looked up from her book and saw Dean standing there yawning. "Hey Handsome," she said with a bright smile. "You look utterly exhausted. Up all night painting or talking to Ophelia," he hedged with a wink. "Sit down," she added, making room for him and opening her arms.

"Jokes aside, why are you so tired?" She peered at him closely, wondering if he'd had another nightmare. He looked like someone in need of a Draught of the Living Dead potion.

Dean rolled his eyes at her question and settled himself next to her, wrapping himself up in her arms, and winding his arms around her in return.

"Painting. I chatted with Ophelia for a bit and she headed home, I got inspiration and stubbornness and ended up pulling an all-nighter," he said, yawning again. "I'd actually forgotten about this until everyone started heading upstairs." He brought a hand to scratch lazily at his face. "I was so zoned out this morning. I swear I only made it because of my alarm. My brain is not all there." He paused, almost long enough for her to comment. "And no need to say it's not all there anyway. I'm aware." He smiled slightly sleepily.

Susan scrunched up her nose and rolled her eyes affectionately back at him, before sending him a smirk paired with significant eye contact about the cuddle session going on between Dennis and Seamus. Then she remembered that Dean didn't do significant eye contact and sighed. "They look cosy," she said with a snort, pointing at the boys with her chin.

"Oh, did you paint anything interesting," she asked, her curiosity piqued. "I'm sorry you're so tired though," she added, giving him a squeeze. "You should definitely sleep soon."

"Mmm," said Dean, non-committally, glancing over at Seamus and Dennis. "Seamus seemed to get attacked by an over excitable giant puppy. I decided to steer clear," his tone was clearly aiming to be joking but it missed the mark, although not by much. He imagined the room would be filling with an assortment of people soon and wondered how long he'd end up staying. He did not want to fall asleep here.

He shrugged, he'd abandoned the canvas he'd been working on before she appeared the previous day in favour of a scene of a couple in a garden swinging on a bench together and had got on rather quicker than he expected. "It's not going so badly. A lot of blocking and working out flower positions, searching my books for references, that sort of thing." He yawned again. "Yeah, I really should. I love the inspiration but it's exhausting when I come out the other side."

"Oh come now," Susan said with a laugh and a gentle headbutt. "You know Dennis is a top bloke, and Rose says he's been doing it very hard since the breakup. Any affection he can get he should take."

"That's good, it's nice to be working hard." She was about to ask further questions about flower placement and blocking in moving paintings when Seamus made a noise not dissimilar to a group of cats being put trapped in a cupboard. Looking over she saw a clearly confused and slightly scared looking Dennis being pushed off Seamus, who was as white as a sheet. She felt Dean go tense beside her as Seamus looked at him several times, and then got up abruptly and left. "We should probably go and see what that was about," she said, with a sigh.

"Yeah, Dennis is all right. I was just going to aim for Seamus, since I got my hugs in with you yesterday," he said, tucking up one of his feet so his knee was almost under his chin.

Dean had looked back over at the pair of them thanks to the squirming laughter of the tickling and hadn't looked away, so he'd seen Dennis pull Seamus' shirt up. That was bad. Maybe it would pass. Even though he couldn't quite hear what they were saying he tensed as Seamus suddenly made a bolt for the door. He was already starting to move as Susan spoke. "Yeah, do we want to deal with Dennis too?" he asked, automatically moving towards Seamus even though he'd registered Dennis' distress too.

Susan chuckled and shook her head slightly. Her boys were absolute idiots. Why couldn't Dean just come out and say the sight of Dennis nuzzling Seamus made him pine like a war widow?

She nodded at Dean and walked over to Dennis. "Hi sweetie," she said patting his arm, particularly as he looked close to tears. "Don't worry about Seamus he's just a bit sore about his scar." The man nodded, distress still evident on his face. Susan bit her lip and decided to be honest. "Dean and I will handle it from here, and I don't know that Shay's wards will let you in flat." He looked at her, hurt evident in his eyes, nodded curtly and disapparated. "Brilliant," she muttered to herself, waving at Ernie distractedly and headed up to Seamus' flat.
