Seamus didn't push Dean away, but nor did he relax or turn into the contact. He felt... shit. Even if he was experienced enough at this sort of thing to know it was irrational, he also knew nothing anyone said could completely drive the feelings away. Even if Susan had come back and Dennis had been fine, he'd still feel like someone had cut him open and shown all his soft, squishy, shameful feelings to a room full of people.
"Sleep," he suggested. "I don't want to talk anyway." Talking had just made things worse. He wanted to say he was a coward, wanted to explain that it was more than just running from Dennis - but that conversation couldn't be anything but circular. "Stay here and sleep." Even he couldn't think of anything else Dean could do.
