Birthday!

So, Sunday is Dean's birthday. Dominic and I have been talking about what to do with The Roost. It should be something awesome. I wanted a beach, but D says that's too difficult so it may have to be like... a beach cabin with the sounds of the beach. Or maybe one of you lot has a better suggestion!

Anyway, no matter what we end up doing, your job is to bring a) presents and b) food. I'll be taking care of the cake and the bar so probably best if you each bring something savoury.

Well, who's Dean's favourite artist? Maybe we can make the theme inspired by one of their works, use the right colours and themes and such.

As I said to Seamus, I'm going to make everyone my guinea pig with this flaky salmon Russian dish I've been dying to make, and bringing some of Mum's roses for decoration. Anything else will depend on the theme.

As for presents, I'd offer my fabulous self to pose naked but I doubt he'd take me up on it. Other than that, I found a book at this little shop down the street with some of da Vinci's sketches and designs, some that have only recently been released or uncovered or what not - though Dean would get a kick out of it.

I still think something beachy and fun is definitely the way to go, although an artist themed thing would be very cool!

Food-wise I thought I'd bring a curry and various rices? Boring yes, but I know I won't kill anyone with them.

Present-wise I got Dean a whole bunch of magically imbued paint pigments, one of those palettes charmed to keep the paints separate unless mixed, and a new spice rack because his is overflowing!
