Yesterday was our all-time favourite rockstar Ben's birthday, and we talked about doing dinner and dancing at Wingbeat this Saturday to celebrate him properly.

Ideas for dinner are always welcome and - according to the birthday boy - plus ones encouraged.

Added later, after this:

We're meeting at the Muggle side of The Leaky Cauldron at 8:45pm. Reservations will be made for the Indian restaurant down the street.

I know, I know. It wasn't meant to be discouraging, simply Ben being all-encompassing and bringing in more people because he's him and he loves the company. For what it's worth, I doubt you're the only one without a plus one.

You're comparing my abilities when it comes to finding you a date to your parents'? I'd bend over backwards to find someone brilliant. You know that.

And no, I'm not comparing your abilities to Mum & Daddy, simply saying that I know better than stick my hand in the fire twice, no matter how brilliant you are - it's still fire.

The Talk. That's all he wrote, capitalization exactly like that. So maybe it's the birds and the bees, or maybe he just wants to her your take on Puddlemere's chances this season. Now, I may discuss the merits and advantages of various sexual positions and performances with those two, but never ever anything personal, so that would be a no. If you want the exact details, I simply asked him about plus-ones for the birthday party we were planning and he wanted to know how long I'd had a plus one. That is all.
