It was nearly 9 o'clock before Susan dragged herself out of bed. The previous day had been spent groaning and clinging to her pillow in the early morning, followed by a late morning suppressing a sixth sense that was telling her that one of her boys was upset or annoyed, and then by an afternoon fretting about how Adrian was going to go with Alicia, ending with an evening of watching television and filling out excessively dull paperwork. As such, she was keen to actually get something done with her remaining day of compassionate leave before making an appearance at work the next.
To that end, she found herself apparating then strolling down Monument Alley - avoiding Finnigan's because she actually wasn't and alcoholic thank you - and browsing aimlessly until she found herself in front of The Bestiary on the corner of Diagon Alley. Pausing for a moment, she walked into the cool and pleasantly lit store, past the pet supplies and the long wooden counter. Looking around, she noted with wry amusement that like her house, it was definitely bigger on the inside than it looked - generations of spell work no doubt. She was about to head up towards the animals whenl she saw Rolf, walking towards her with a huge grin. "Can't help a girl buy a... something, can you?"
