Marcus knew better than to show up to go somewhere with Pansy looking anything less than completely put together, so after practice he'd gone home, showered, shaved and made sure to dress appropriately. Today that meant black slacks and a pale blue button down shirt, though he forewent the tie since it was only lunch - dinner would have required far more effort, and he was a little thankful that he hadn't had to try any harder. Practice without Roger there seemed to drag on, especially since the reserves player who'd taken his spot wasn't nearly as good, and Marcus had had to stop himself from snapping at him more than once.
Since the weather was nice, Marcus made the walk from his apartment to Pansy's place of employment, stepping inside a few minutes before their scheduled time. He gave Pansy a grin as he approached, leaning down to return her gesture before saying, amused, "Could you convince my mother of that? She's still labor ing under the delusion that I'm consistently 'almost late' for everything."
Straightening back up, he offered Pansy his arm as they prepared to leave and said, "You look lovely, as always."
