Careful not to spill from the two glasses balanced in her hand, Alicia grinned as she sat down in his lap and pulled up her feet, curling into his embrace. She hummed softly into the kiss, holding Adrian’s gaze for a long moment before he took his glass.
“Cheers,” she said softly, gently clinking her glass to his. “The first of many,” she agreed and took a small sip of her drink. Leaning in, she rested her forehead against his temple. “Now that you’ve been turned, I can’t simply just waste that effort, right?”
