After the owl that morning Dean had set himself a very loud alarm. He still wasn't exactly sure what prompted the owls but when he got them Seamus always seemed more pleased than usual the next time he saw him. It had taken him a while to catch on, but eventually he'd just worked out it was easier to turn up as soon as he reasonably could.
He'd spent the day with a slight feeling of discomfort buzzing at the back of his mind, right through from arriving at the studio, impromptu lunch with Ophelia in the kitchen, and it only abated as he stepped into Finnigan's not long after the evening crowd had started to build up.
He spotted Seamus right away, as he could in most rooms which weren't packed, he was standing by what looked like Charlie Weasley at the bar. He stepped up and came up on the far side of the stool to Charlie's left, offering them both a smile, although it was mostly directed at Seamus. "Hey," he said in greeting.
