Frankly, it felt odd to only be following Quidditch from the sidelines. Well, all right, in her professional career, Alicia had only followed Quidditch from the sideline, but she had been part of the team, responsible for their physical state an all that. But now she wasn’t. Now, she was a student, she was going to school, she was doing homework right along with her children and she was loving every moment of it.

Of course, it did put a damper on her mood that two of her best friends’ teams had lost this weekend, but with Angie around and her penchant for dancing, it had only felt natural for Alicia to go along those lines and take advantage of that.

She had slipped into the shiny black dress she had, and met up with the girls and had Apparated from the garden to the Apparation spot closest to Wingbeat.

The music was loud and imposing and just perfect. Though she knew that Adrian wouldn’t be around until later, she still looked around to see if she could spot him and before she knew they were by the bar.

“First round’s on me!” She announced, and waved for the bartender to get a tab started in her name.

Katie was excited about going out with the girls and pulled out a-not-very-often-used dress. She lengthened it just a couple inches because well... she wasn't Alicia. She found shoes to match it in her closet and decided to put a slight curl in her hair as well, wearing it down.

She followed her friends into the bar and passed on a drink, at least for now. Kate hadn't been dancing in what felt like ages.

Settling for a glass of water, just to get started, Alicia took a quick gulp, before the swaying of her hips became too much for her. Swaying and shimmying, she grabbed a hold of Angie’s hand, figuring that she would tug Katie along, and made her way to the dancefloor.

This was what it was all about. The music so loud that you didn’t have to worry about what could be heard or not, and so many people that no matter how you moved, you couldn’t help but move along with them. Raising her arms above her head, she gave in and let go of any reservations about what people around her might think. This was why she had come out tonight, this was why she loved dancing.

Angie did indeed grab onto Katie's hand, by a couple of fingers since she was also holding her drink.

She didn't bother trying to speak, instead just throwing her body into moving to the music. One arm kept coming back down to her mouth as she slowly worked through her Butterbeer, but mostly they were in the air as her hips swayed and her whole body moved to the beat thumping through the floor. It felt good to let go in a crowd, let her lingering frustration at Thursday's match melt away and just let herself feel free.

Katie allowed herself to be dragged onto the dance floor; she wasn't going to argue anyway. It took about 30 seconds before she, too, was into the moving and dancing with the beat. It had been entirely too long since she had done this.

She didn't care what anyone else thought at this moment, she was happy and that's all that mattered. She briefly wondered if Angie was going to want to talk tonight or not. That thought soon left her mind.

	They lived in the same house, after not having been in the same country for years, and yet, it wasn’t until they were all out on the dancefloor that Alicia felt the return of that old vibe from back when they had worked as one on the Gryffindor Chaser line. (Reply to this) (Parent)
