Oliver hadn't meant to sound rude; rather the alcohol in his system dulled his senses to a point of comfortable numbness. A genuine smile came to his face while looking at Katie, then to the cookies. He couldn't find the words to express his gratitude, so instead Oliver walked worldlessly toward Katie and scooped her up in a tight hug.
