Gin floo'd straight home from the Holyhead pitch after the late afternoon practice ended. She wasn't in nearly as rough shape as Jane - who'd been playing and being put through her drills - but she'd been outside in the heat most of the day and was definitely feeling it, so she hopped in the shower quickly and used a drying spell on her hair after. She threw on jeans and a sweater, brushed her hair quickly into a messy bun, and headed downstairs to walk to the Pub.

She was excited to see everyone, couldn't even remember the last time she'd seen some of them, and so she popped right up to the bar to order a pint of summer ale (wouldn't be able to get it much longer, after all), and then headed to The Den, roughly two minutes past 7pm (which was as close to "on time" as Ginny got).

Katie was eager to see everyone together, and arrived ten minutes late wearing jeans and a dark gray button up shirt with the Falcons logo above the left breast. At least she wasn't wearing her robes still. She left those in her office.

She went up to the bar and got water before heading up to the Den to see who all was there. Katie spotted Ginny and waved. "Hey, how have you been?"

"Hey Bells, how are you?" Ginny smiled and moved to her friend for a hug hello. "I'm doing ok, back at the office and all that," she rolled her eyes, knowing Katie would understand. "Can you believe school is all ready back again? Every year September first just makes me feel so old..."

They'd all been through so much as school children, really, even in her early twenties it was impossible not to feel old.

Katie returned the hug before occupying the seat next to Ginny. "Oh, I live in a general denial that I started Hogwarts 15 years ago. My sister started her 6th year today. Even though it wasn't always bright days during our years, I loved coming back to school to see everyone." Katie loved the first night back at Hogwarts. No one went to bed early; they all stayed up and talked, even if they kept in touch during the summer. It was just something they did.

	"6th year all ready? How's she looking forward to NEWTs?" Ginny had dreaded the tests, even after the war and all she'd been through. "I loved coming back, but mostly because I actually had more privacy than I did at home, if you can believe it. And at Hogwarts I got to be myself, I wasn't just the little sister... "I don't think she's looking forward to NEWTs. Rachel's primary reason for school is to be away from Mum and Dad and to be with friends. She's smart enough, but her heart isn't in it. She got decent OWLs but I think McGonagall was about to throttle her for being so indecisive as to what she wants to do. " Katie shook her head. Rachel definitely had no idea what career she wanted as she enjoyed several different things. "She'll probably end up working at Honeydukes and be tickled about it."

Katie nodded at what Ginny had said, "With our age gap, she isn't 'Katie's sister', at least student wise. Teachers are a different thing. I couldn't imagine having 6 older brothers. How did you not end up hexing them all?"

"Having a family connection at Honeydukes would be brilliant." Ginny replied, her eyes sparkling at the thought.

Ginny snorted, laughing as she took a drink of her ale, "I did, though! Most of them, at least once," she chuckled, remembering many times in the Gryffindor Common Room. "I think maybe Charlie's the only one to ever fully escape my wrath," she wrinkled her nose adorably - Charlie was her favorite. She sobered for a moment though - growing up with six brothers. She only had five now, and the family just wasn't the same.

Clearing her throat she shook her head as if to rid herself of the though and said, "Does the school still do unlimited Pumpkin Pasties at the opening feast?"

	"I think so, I plan on sending an owl to her tomorrow to see her how first day of classes went. We should go up to the school sometime. I've thought about that before." 	"Have you? It hasn't really ever crossed my mind to be honest..." Ginny hadn't been back to Hogwarts without an explicit invitation since her classes had ended. "Can people do that? Just pop up for a visit?" Even with the extraordinary circumstances of their youth, she didn't recall people doing that. "I'd use the sugar as fuel!" She grinned. (Reply to this) (Parent) (Thread)

Hermione found herself staying at the office until seven. By the time she got everything put away to where she could easily pick up in the morning it was half after. She rest the taming charm on her hair and went down to the floos so she could make the most direct trip possible.

Making her way to the bar and ordered a butter beer before heading up to the den to see who all had made it for Ginny's impromptu get together.
