Katie shrugged, "I think we just drifted apart, kind of. After two years, he started talking of elevating our relationship to another level. Better known as 'let's get married.' Personally, I wasn't for that. I loved him and could imagine it, but it wasn't going to happen. Before he asked I was getting homesick. And then it just startled fizzling out. I really don't regret it, honestly. He was a great bloke and will make a great husband for someone. Not me." Katie wasn't sure if she had told anyone.
