Every day, it was the same. People came in either at the beginning of their lunch break or at the end, so every day, there was a lull where Melinda could eat her own lunch. Of course, sometimes people came in just a little earlier than she had expected, and that was perfectly fine, too. It just meant, that she wasn’t out front right away.
Quickly she swallowed down her mouthful of bean salad and wiped her mouth before she went out front to find the witch whose voice she had heard. “Hello,” she smiled, “my apologies. I hope you didn’t wait too long. How may I help you?”
