Dean had said a quick thanks to Seamus for the drink and taken a sip. Thankfully said sip had been swallowed by the time Katie made her comment. Instead he'd momentarily frozen, eyes slightly wide. He'd just been doing their normal silly stuff, hadn't he? Sure the batting eyelashes was a bit over the top, but Seamus had called him gorgeous. It was all in good fun. Sometimes they did it to mess with people, or they had in the past, but this had just been a good mood making him feel silly.
He was caught up in trying to form words that wouldn't be a lie, but wouldn't betray his feelings and mostly was just sitting there looking a bit dumbstruck. After Seamus had spoken he laughed automatically and nodded, pointing slightly to indicate his thoughts were like Seamus'.
"Oh, yes you have Adrian's other flat, don't you?" he said to Ginny. He sort of remembered reading that, or someone telling him. "He's really good." Not that much of his own experience actually revolved around hangover relieving potions.
He smiled faintly at the two women and examined his menu for no reason other than something to do, chewing his lip absently. He knew the menu pretty much inside out. Nothing was really new and he just muttered his request for a cheeseburger and chips to Seamus. Quidditch discussions sometimes made him feel left out because he only ever got to listen on the radio these days.
