There wasn't much of anything to say really. His mother had stressed the importance of his presence as if he would have chosen to be elsewhere today. He could have said something about his mother's insistence upon the Zabini family being properly represented but to do so would be equivalent to rubbing salt in a wound. Something Marcus did not deserve though he could think of some he wouldn't have thought twice about quipping off to.
"I had to make sure no one sent you Devil's snare," he glanced at the stand of flowers near the coffin and made note that there really weren't too many others decorating the room.
