“Dining room it is, then,” Alicia agreed, and gave first Katie, then Angelina a one armed hug, careful not to get any potential spills on her apron smeared on them. When she reached Oliver, she looked at him for a moment, checking his eyes to see how focused they were and getting to see for herself how alright he truly was. Well, he was at least mostly there, but there was something new in his eyes that she couldn’t put her finger on. The tilt of head had her chuckling because she knew what was coming. “I know, I know,” she said, holding up her hands in surrender, “you’re alright. At least for tonight.” With a small wink, she gave him a hug too, and then turned to her children.
“You two are in charge of the table. Hop to it!”
And off they went, taking Oliver along with them, while Alicia took a look at what Angelina and Oliver had brought along. “This looks delicious,” she smiled at them and then nodded towards the refrigerator. “We need something to drink and then everything on the counter is, well, for mixing and matching meals that meets everybody’s needs, and don’t worry, Angie; only you and I have keys to open your door. But Katie’s door…” her voice trailed off. Well, it wouldn’t be surprising if anything happened there. After all, it had in the past, and the only objection she would have to that, would be if they woke up the twins on their way upstairs.
