Even as he asked the question, he knew one thing he was going to do. Alicia wanted to be a princess in this very castle? That was one dream he could make come true, with the time to do it, and as far as he and Alicia were concerned, he felt they had all the time in the world.
Adrian’s fingers, so used to handling all sorts of ingredients, from the nearly unbreakable to the almost impossibly volatile compositions, were so gentle. Looking at him, his question kept ringing through her head; what can I do for you? What could he do for her? He loved her, he loved her children, he got along with her family, he even got along with Daniel’s family. He didn’t ask her to change, he didn’t expect her to change, he supported her decisions. The past month he had been there, he’d stayed close, he’d been ‘all over her’ as he called her, and she had… she’d found comfort in it. A rare comfort that she hadn’t realized she had needed until it had been there.
“You’re doing it,” she told him, the soft smile returning to her lips as she looked at him. “You being… all over me…” had been just what the Healer ordered, and he’d just done it. His reaction to the bombings had kept her from falling apart completely in her reaction to the bombings. “You’re doing it.”
Pausing for a moment, she frowned slightly. “There is one thing… Uhm… Do you make Wolfsbane Potion?”
