RP: Sandwiches for all
Who: Bryn Cadwallader, OPEN
What: Open for business!
Where: Crumbs, Monument Alley
When: Lunchtime
Rating: SFW

The grand opening of Crumbs had gone well yesterday, especially once Bryn and his part-time assistant had taken time over the weekend to fix the hiccups that had arisen during the soften opening last week. For instance, the paper napkins no longer tried to blow people's noses for them; Bryn still didn't know where the spell had come from in the first place.

Customers seemed to come in bursts, possibly when they spotted other people in the new place. After years of working in food service, though, it wasn't anything that he hadn't been able to handle so far. The last of the latest rush left clutching their lunch and Bryn tugged his glasses off to polish them, sure that he'd had a smudge there for the last half an hour at least.

Aidan had heard a couple of reviews about Crumbs through some friends, so he thought he'd take the opportunity to at least look over their menu before lunch.

Walking into the restaurant, he looked around, trying to find someone that could help him.

Having washed his hands again after checking on the shopping list he'd been compiling, Bryn emerged from the kitchen and was pleased to see that there was another customer.

"Afternoon," he said pleasantly. Despite years of working in this industry, over the last few days he had found himself getting nervous about coming on too strong when a customer walked in. "Can I help?"

"Good afternoon," Aidan replied, "I've heard some good things over the last day or so and wanted to try it out for myself. May I look at a menu?" Aidan wasn't sure what he was in the mood for exactly, but was willing to try something new if need be.

"Uh, yeah, sure." Bryn plucked one of the folded paper menus that he'd had printed up for people to take away with them. "Everything's up on the blackboard too," he explained as he handed it over. "Along with the specials. And there's a deal on this week for a drink and sandwich."

Aidan looked over the menu, nodding at whatever he saw. "It all sounds good. I'd like to get a table, please. Or whatever is available. How are you, by the way?"

"Lush. Tell you what, you can pick whichever table you want," Bryn told Aidan with a grin. There were just half a dozen small tables in the shop and the only one occupied was taken by an older witch in the corner who seemed to be hiding a pet of some sort in her large purple crocodile skin handbag. At least, that was Bryn's assumption judging by the way that she kept dropping bits of her lunch into it when she thought he wasn't looking.

"I'm good. Busy, but busy is good." Bryn chuckled. "I'm used to busy, to be honest. Can I get you a drink of anything?"
