Dora followed him quietly. She was taking something of a chance, for her; she didn't know this fellow very well, and she was allowing him to take her places. But at least, she comforted herself, she could leave if needed.
"I will," she said, glancing over his car with an inexperienced eye. She might even do it, if it got to be too much. She'd see. She hated to be vulnerable in front of everyone. "No, of course, you can't leave something valuable in the middle of no where." She slid into the car after he opened the door, thanking him quietly. At least he had manners, she thought.
