Journal - Brooms etc.
So I've been doing a bit of flying on the Bluebottle C-Class. It's a racer not a quidditch broom and Summerby was right, it's a lot of fun. If you want to avoid the dealing with balls issue (!) racing is a great option. Plus the speed is an amazing rush.

[In Welsh but unwarded]

JoJo is in the country again in December, and she's doing Barber of Seville. I probably shouldn't go but it's a great piece and role. I think we're past the point of angry fucking every time we meet, but it's always so tempting. And I'm possibly overdue someone who can take me down, definitely by then. And clubs can be a risky idea for that. But sleeping with my ex is always a horrible move. I suppose I've got a while before tickets will be sold out.

Pity it's not something with a ballet too. It's been too long.

It's amazing, isn't it? Richard took me up and I've been squeezing in practices whenever I can since. It's really helped fun!

Overall I prefer Quidditch, but racing is good too. I do like the extra rush with the extra speed though.

I think I'd like Quidditch too - to watch, if nothing else - but I don't know enough about it and can't seem to figure out where to start. Everyone has grown up with it, or learned about it when they were eleven. I feel hopelessly behind.

Did you not go to Hogwarts? Or not go to the matches? Clearly you're magical or this thing wouldn't work.

There are usually cheap tickets available at most matches though if you want to go. Best to find someone to go with so they can explain though. Pro games are pretty fast.

If you're muggleborn though it reminds me a bit of football and basketball, but on brooms and with a lot more balls.

I went to Hogwarts, but not to matches. I never had time, even though I had friends on the team. I wish I had been able to now - I didn't know what I was missing.

I'll see if anyone wants to come with me when the season starts again.

Pity. Well, if you want to learn the basics there are probably books available. Quidditch Through the Ages is always popular, but can't remember if it includes instructions.

Good plan.

You like the ballet?

Did you go to the Pride thing at Wingbeat? You don't have to answer, of course.

Oh shit. Yes actually. My parents introduced me when I was young and it stuck.

I did, and the muggle parade, and a muggle bar one night. Pride is lots of fun. Well, if you like that sort of thing. Which I do. The added bonus is people get bolder.

We could see one, if you wanted to. No pressure.

That might be nice. Not sure what's around. Have you been before? Is there anything you like in particular?

It's not for everyone. Although if you ever want to join in there's usually something small you could go to. At a queer bookshop or something? I usually head for a club or bar though, so I'm not much help.

I've attended a couple of times. I'm not sure what's playing at the moment. I like ones with animal costumes, they're always clever.

[Warded to Theo after a few seconds]
I took a look and there's not much on at the Royal Opera House until September and then it's a lot of romance things and things I'm unfamiliar with, and trying to get the upcoming for BRB is like pulling teeth. The best bet for costumes is The Nutcracker, which they usually pull out around December/January. There was a ballet of Carnival of the Animals in America a couple of years ago, but I don't remember if it was costumed or when they might get around to it here. Oh and there's always A Midsummer Night's Dream, but they tend to do the Opera not the straight ballet.

Now that I know isn't true. I just happen to like you.

That's a shame. I'd love to accompany you if something pops up that you'd be interested in seeing? My treat

I beg to differ.
The feeling is mutual.

I'll keep a look out for something. I'll take a look at the new ones when they start putting out more information, see if they appeal.
