Mum's staying with Nate for the next few days in Kingston and the two have been volunteering through the Red Cross. Naturally the peer pressure has been on for Christopher and I to get involved. Dad's stuck holding down the fort in Brighton.
I had a minor panic attack at the thought of helping the day of. Does that make me a bad person? Mum was convinced I could have at least helped as response support. But the idea of being in the thick of it was horrifying. I finally went in today and I'll be helping take donations to the Mayor's relief fund. That's something right?

Mum and Nate have been working with the Red Cross the last few days and finally roped me in today. Even though it's a muggle organization they're doing amazing things to help after the attacks downtown. If you're up for getting involved we're in need of people to answer phones and take physical donations for the London Bombings Relief Charitable Fund. They're also setting up a Support Line for victims and their families that will open to callers on July 12th - some training provided. There's a number of other ways to get involved too - I'll grab some pamphlets tomorrow and send them to whoever wants them.
But if you're uncomfortable with muggle technology/interaction sending money works too. Exchange your wizarding coin for muggle cash and drop it by; British Red Cross UK Office, 44 Moorfields, London EC2Y 9AL. Label for the London Bombing Relief Fund.
Or maybe Gringotts has a better system for direct donations. Probably be good to ask.
