”He’s being helped,” Alicia assured him, and gripped Oliver’s arm tighter after he shrugged it off the first time. “Look. That woman’s a doctor. She’ll take care of him.” At least he wasn’t going backwards, but still, him not moving along with her was worrying.
Letting Oliver examine the blood on his fingers, Alicia shrugged off her backpack, and kneeling down she was able to keep her wand hidden in it, as she Transfigured her spare shirt into a blanket and a pack of tissues into bandages. Wetting one of those bandages with water from her bottle, she stood back up and gently began wiping Oliver’s hands clean. “You’ve hit your head pretty badly,” she told him, “which is why I need you to sit down so I can get the bleeding stopped.” This time it wasn’t his arm but his hand she took hold of, as she led him to the bench, and made him sit down.
Wasting no time, she found another clean bandage and began parting his hair until she could press it to the gash there. “Here, give me your hand,” she said, reaching for it even as she spoke. “Keep pressure on that, all right?”
