Lucy nodded her understanding. "Me too," she agreed. "It's a good place to wander, and nice weather for it." She stopped as Sophie demanded her father's attention, smiling to herself at the demand. She could just about remember being that kind of child herself, though occasions where she'd been treated to both ice cream and more substantial food out at 'overpriced' stalls had been few and far between. Her mum had always been one to pack snacks for them - with four daughters it was hardly surprising.
"I think I saw a truck back that way," she said, shrugging one shoulder in the direction she'd come from. She hoped Bryce would take her meaning - she didn't want to explicitly say 'hot dog truck' in case he were planning on navigating Sophie away from the idea. On the other hand, she happened to know where hot dogs might be obtained and she liked being useful.
