Roger felt himself visibly relax at Marcus' derisive snort. "Oh well, good," he said, going slightly pink. "I'm glad." He shook his head quietly, mortified at his complete and utter inability to be smooth or charming with Marcus. No matter how he approached a situation, it all came out in idiot.
He grinned impishly at Marcus as he sat back down in his seat ignoring how much he'd liked being held, and how safe it had made him feel. "Sorry Marc, but making you feel good takes precedence over bacon. I love bacon, but I love you more." He poked his tongue out deciding that the he could probably pass that little nugget of truth off as the potion.
He snorted and shook his head, even while he imagined the other man with a tattoo down his arm. The image was hot. Very hot. So was the teasing way that Marcus replied. Roger decided to keep him mouth firmly shut and not risk further embarrassment.
Roger frowned slightly at the older man's utterly cavalier attitude to the fact that his mother would probably murder him if she thought he was gay. "That, what? Are you serious? I'm so sorry. I... I'm so sorry." His brow furrowed further. "I would- I would never want to come between you or your family or anything like that, you know being a rather spectacularly out bisexual person."
He laughed and nodded before assuming a mock serious expression. "You are special Marc, very special. You could even say that you're precious to me, although it has just occured to me that making Gollum's voice may be slightly lost on someone who hasn't seen Lord of the Rings."
Roger felt his eyebrows shoot up in surprise and pleasure. "Maybe, really?" He leaned back and assessed Marcus for a long moment then laughed. "You know I feel like I do myself a disservice sometimes. I'm like Ollie, neither of us are actually particularly promiscuous, we're just so used to Penny Dreadful and Rita Skeeter writing about us in that way that we just kid of, pan it up?" He made a face, deciding to be completely earnest and honest. "It'd be nice to not have the expectation to be a manwhore, like you and Vikesh you know?"
He lifted his brows questioningly. "Rakey, who's Rakey?"
