As was his custom, Seamus had taken the whole day of his birthday off - and made sure Dean had it off too. He could still turn up to activities if he wanted to, but if he got distracted or busy at least no one was really expecting him anywhere. His family would probably apparate up to take him out to dinner in the evening, too, though they didn't have a set plan as such.
He woke at an almost reasonable hour, but took the opportunity of rolling over and going back to sleep. He dozed for some time, half-awake and half-asleep by turns, until his ears picked out the noise of a pan thudding onto the counter. He grinned, turning onto his back so he could see the door but not bothering to get up and investigate. It would be Dean. Only Dean and Susan could get through his wards, and only Dean usually brought him breakfast. After a while, the door cracked open and Seamus spotted Dean. "Oh no," he said, voice sleep-slurred. "An intruder."
