Bryony frowned slightly, wondering if she'd given herself away. "I hadn't thought about people having nightmares for other reasons," she admitted. She was lucky enough not to have literal nightmares herself very often, though she did have dreams about her mother calling her names explicitly which she would only hint at in real life. Those tended to stick with her for days until she realised they were just dreams. "I think it has got better in a lot of ways," she said, thinking of Marcus. He'd gone from joining the Death Eaters to protect his secrets to being released from prison, able to do the job he loved, and even in a relationship. She couldn't ask much more than that for him.
Far from being offended by Dean's slip, Bryony just giggled. "I'm sure I'd think muggle clothes were very weird if I tried wearing them," she said. She'd seen people in them, of course. Diagon Alley had a lot of people dressed in muggle clothes rather than traditional robes. She did sigh a bit when he caught on that her going alone would really be very impractical - she wouldn't know how to navigate, or where to go, or understand half of what was said to her. Maybe she could find someone who'd go with her - though she wasn't used to asking for anyone's company except Marcus, and she wasn't sure how much help he would be. "I know it's more common now, but my family are quite... traditional. They don't think muggles are bad or anything - but they don't see why wizards should want to mix with them." It was a weak defence, and Bryony knew it, but she'd never been comfortable openly speaking out against her family's ideals.
